Diesel engine oil

Hi guys here in US or in Europe,did you change the oil yourself on the 530 or 535d in US?.....What is the weight?how many quarts and how is the access to the filter and the engine? thanks

Appears it's not obvious...

RTFM = Read the F***ing Manual. It's that book that comes with the car. Has all sorts of useful information regarding specs, maintenance, and how the car works.

Surprisingly, some people never open it. I have friends with BMWs that never knew that they had features like rain-sensing wipers (and thus did not know how to use) or what the "A" means on the a/c unit. The manual may be big, but worth the read.

OK so I went bach and checked the manual as. I remeber from before no such information there only possible oil weights

You can go to Castrol UK (for diesel) website. Enter the vehicle, make, model, and engine type and they will provide the recommend oil to use and how much.
