N63, Ceramic Coat Downpipes Worth it?

Hi guys.

Just picked up a new set of AA Catless pipes. I know the n63 gets hotter than a camels gooch.

Is ceramic coating the Downpipes really necessary or should they perform fine how they come stock ?

Is there going to be significant wear on the Downpipes without ceramic coating after about 10k miles.

My buddy's shop said it'll only be like 100-150 .. But the wait is like a week or two and I want to put the Downpipes in tomorrow.

Anybody with an n63 that ceramic coated their Downpipes want to chime in ?

Thanks

It will help ALOT because they create so much heat they heat soak the intakes.
Id get the DPs and turbos coated if I could.

take the time and get them coated, you will regret it as soon as they go in not coated.

Will the stock heat shields still fit with these pipes ?

Does the coating help with the fuel smell at all?

Nope, the ceramic coating just helps keep the heat inside the pipes

In theory it should help a lot, in real life we have not seen any difference in terms of performance or reliability.

I only recommend ceramic coating for people who actively track. It really makes nom real world difference on a street car.

Thanks guys . I was about to have them pulled off, coated and installed again which would've been a pretty penny.

I only really drive my car at night in cooler temps , I don't track it so I'll most likely just keep them in original finish.
