I'd like to upgrade the Brakes on mine and do like the OEM look other option is K-sport Calipers.

Also are the rear Brakes a straight swap?
all is needed except for a custom caliper bracket which i forgot what i got quoted for but i posted here ealier.

Would I need the custom brackets if I can get the full OE M5 carrier/hub set up?

You know me, I am up for ANY mod... lol So, we need the M5 Caliper, the M5 400mm rotor, M5 brake pads, brake lines and the bracket made in Russia? Is there any cutting involved anywhere?

to m5 brakes seems like we need a custom bracket like stated its not going to be cheap that is indeed.

I think after what it cost to do all this is was just easier to go with a brembo kit or some other big brake upgrade kit

M5 and Non-M 5 series use different carriers. For the front brake, can we use the OEM M5 CARRIER instead of those custom adapter? PN: 34116786820. For the rear, it should be a plug n play, no
additional parts needed other than calipers and rotors. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks

Ok. I'm wondering what's the difference between the carrier and bracket? It seems like they are similar to each other. If we can get the whole set of M5 brake parts including hub, carrier(or bracket? ) for example, we should be all set right?

Thanks!

(No. 7 in the diagram is the carrier)

My research has shown:

All parts available from www.getbmwparts.com Ask for Jason
Front Brakes:
Left Caliper 34117845747
Right Caliper 34117845748
Left Rotor 34112284101
Right Rotor 34112284102 Pads set 34112284869
Brake hoses 34322284318 each (2 needed, one per side)
Custom Caliper Bracket

Rear:
Rear caliper left 34217845815
Rear caliper right 34217845816
Rear pads set 34212284389
Rear brake lines 34322284319 each x 2
Left Rotor 34212284103
Right Rotor 34212284104 Rear Custom Caliper Mount

MUST have at least 20 inch rims for Rotor clearance...

Install, bleed and drive. HIGHLY suggested you do front and back at same time to eliminate issues with ABS.

Now, the only thing to consider is the Electronic Parking brake on the rear, which I need to find out is adaptable to new M5 Rotors and Calipers.

https://www.drive2.ru/l/5698330/

https://www.drive2.ru/o/b/2498650/

Will post pics of adapters once they arrive and will build a DIY document on the install.

The carrier is part of the M5 housing for the Caliper. The custom bracket lets you mount the Carrier assembly to F10 frame.

This is the bracket you need.

Made of aluminum alloy, precisely designed and machined here in Solcal, USA

Brackets may be made available for separate purchase (depending on how many people are interested.)

Multi-sourcing retrofitting may work and appear have some money saving advantage but is not always the best, for example M5's 400x36 rotor & pad size can be overwhelming for 5 besides you should also consider future maintenance/replacement, you must replace the whole rotor assembly and the brake pad is not cheap either.

We are preparing to offer a complete brake kit properly designed with our light weight two piece rotors, the rotor replacement ring is cheaper, so is the brake pad (standard FMSI)

AWESOME! do you guys have a ball park figure of what a complete package will run? also, you mentioned above...everytime it's time for brake pad replacement you're saying the whole rotor assembly would need to be replaced?
