Didnt know N55 was so tunable.. Wonder if the turbo was swapped for bigger one instead.
Nice wheels. 550 probably got a supercharger on top. Price will be ridiculously expensive I would assume.. Good for those who cant wait and got spare cash (pro athletes and such). Rest of us will be better off with M5 in a few years. |

"At launch, the new BMW 5 Series Sedan will be available with one V-8 and one inline-6 gasoline engine. The top-of-the-range BMW 550i arrives with BMW's reverse-flow V-8 engine featuring twin turbochargers and High Precision direct injection for maximum output of 400 hp. The new inline-6 of the BMW 535i features a single twin-scroll turbocharger, High Precision direct injection, and, for the first time, VALVETRONIC throttle-less intake technology. It delivers a maximum output of 300 hp and 300 lb-ft. The 535i and 550i will be available with a choice of 6-speed manual transmission, BMW's new 8-speed automatic transmission, or new 'Sport Automatic' 8-speed." Six hundred and twenty horsepower is nuts, I would do anything to have one of those as a daily driver. |

620hp I knew this would be my next car
I have to think that's a fully built engine, new turbos, and new intercoolers. Possibly new charge pipes. The 535i with an 8 speed sport transmission has a lot of appeal as a daily driver. I really hope they manage to tune the N55.

Indeed..
620 = just a bit more than CTS-V and ZR1... Rumors go for next M5/6 being around 580hp mark. I really want to see what what done to Turbos in that engine.. 620 is easy to obtain with big V8 with 2 turbos these days... |

So far I like everything about this car
I just hate BMW for not offering MT on 550i, come on now!! LSD + MT = 550i's perfect marriage |
