A Definite Brakes Improvement

I used to own an E46 330i that shed a lot of brake dust - wheels would look 'ferric gray' after one week. My F10 wheels are staying much cleaner. Also, I've noticed that the F10 rotors don't seem to rust when they get wet. Nice improvement on both fronts as stopping action and feel are just as good.

Change in pad and rotor materials I presume?

I'm not sure, as my wheels look ferric gray at the moment... my rotors also have a little bit of rust on them.

Hardly any dust on mine. Big improvement over my E39.

From BMW Manual:

Research has shown that by eliminating use of the brakes altogether your wheels will stay new-car clean. Furthermore, this same research found that you will arrive at your destination sooner, and with less stress, by using your gas pedal and by avoiding any activation of the brakes whatsoever.

BMW recommends Castrol.

Agreed on both fronts - my 09 335 was a PITA with brake dust on the wheels and rust on rotors...

Coming from E46 which I needed to clean the wheels weekly, F10 is way better.

After 3wks, my wheels are still cleaner than 1wk old E46 wheels.
