Set of four (tires and wheels) in excellent, LIKE NEW condition
High Performance Winter Tires for BMW's
225/45R/17
Mounted on Rial Salerno 17 x 8 wheels - no curb rash on these wheels
They will fit most BMW's with 17" & 18" wheels (Bolt pattern 5-120) - 5 series; 3 series; 1 series - including X5; X3 and X1
FYI - I did "minus sizing" for the winter snow tires.
My car had 18" summer rims
"Minus sizing" for the winter uses smaller, narrower tires so that you drive with better control in the snow.
Includes:
-TPMS for each wheel
-Valve Stems for each wheel
-Lug bolts for each
-Rial Center Caps for each
Have 8/32's of tread life left!
They were on my 2011 BMW 335xi sedan
These tires have the snowflake on the mountain seal - meaning these are top performers in snow and ice.

The F10 takes 225/55/17 so your set is 1.7" smaller per tire.

The 55 in your "225/55/17" is the size of the sidewall as a percentage of the width of the tire "225".
So 225 x 55% = 123.75...which is the height of the sidewall.

My snow tires are 225/45/17, so the sidewall will be (225 x 45%) 101.25.

In addition, which F10 model do you have and what year?

With that information I can find out if these tires will indeed fit your vehicle.
I'm most certain they will.

So doing the math...the sidewalls would be .885 inches smaller.
So just over 3/4 inch smaller.

These tires would fit and your car would handle a bit tighter do to a lower sidewall! Taking corners would be fun.

Forget about "tight handling" those tires are significantly smaller than stock spec. The diameter is almost 6.5% smaller which will make your odometer count more miles compared to stock wheels: Stock=777 Revs/Mile, yours=832 Revs/Mile.
Also are you sure that those wheels will clear the brakes?

As you've said, your 335xi
the F10 5 series takes a 245/45/18 and the minus size is 225/55/17. It appears your tires are smaller in diameter. I would have considered them if they were the right size, being that I am in Nassau county as well.

I just checked the difference between the front 225/40-18 and the snow 225/45-17 on "tiresize.com/comparison" and found that stock has 828 revs/mile and the minus size snows have 832 revs/mile...this is a 0.48% difference...pretty insignificant.
