Vorsteiner Diffuser on a F10 2013 550xi WORKS with Comfort Access!

Ok,

So there have been a ton of discussions about Comfort access opening the trunk of your F10 after diffuser installation.

I can tell you this, Installed a Vorsteiner Rear diffuser on the car today and Comfort access WORKS PERFECTLY!

There IS some slight sensor reduction, probably 6 inches of sensor with OEM diffuser and now about 2-3 inches from bumper with leg. BUT IT DOES WORK.

So, I would recommend the Vorsteiner Rear Diffuser for making CA function.

Also, I found out the hard way that MOST rear diffusers do not have the proper "tabs" around the outer edge to snap into a stock MSport bumper. The lower priced diffusers, such as RW Carbon, have straight mounting tabs which then force you to remove your bumper, drill holes in those tabs on the inside of the removed bumper, and then reinstall the whole assembly.

On a HIGHER end rear diffuser, such as Vorsteiner, they mimic the OEM mounting tabs with a little snap bump that allows you to remove your OEM diffuser with just the use of your hands, snap it out, and then snap in the new Vorsteiner Rear Diffuser. NO BUMPER REMOVAL REQUIRED!

So, here is a good thread to post your experience with your rear diffuser. I will start it off:

2013 BMW F10 550xdrive Msport:

Vorsteiner Rear Diffuser-No Bumper removal needed, Comfort access works, has OEM style mounting tabs

RW Carbon-Bumper removal required, No OEM mounting tabs (need to insert straght tabs through bumper holes and then drill holes in the tab and tighten a bolt on it, Do not know if Comfort Access works.

This is great info but i think you posted this on the wrong section.

Whats the lowest price you have seen the Vorsteiner Rear diffuser? I cant justify spending 1k on a rear diffuser if others are selling for half that. i think removing the bumper is a small price to pay for such a big price difference.

Rear diffuser, IMO is totally worth it.
Its amazing. Now as for the front piece, I would never buy it because the likelyhood of it getting damaged is far to great.

I have a Used Vorstineer for sale if your interested PM Me.
I had it on m car for under a month then my car was sold.
Made 10+ calls to see if it would fit on my new car, but there is no way so Im losing my ass on it, but its ok.

I paid $700.00 for the Vorsteiner plus I paid $140.00 for shipping. It was in mint condition though. As far as the front spoiler, as long as you get it wrapped with xpel and make sure you have Surround view or are careful with where you drive the front end over, you will be fine. Also, If you go with the OEM BMW front lip, it has minimum issues with adding depth to your front end.

This section is fine, because there is no real section for it.

Modification necessary?

New to the forum. Just wondering if you had to modify the diffuser to make CA work? I exchanged email with Vorsteiner support who informed me that you must cut a hole in the diffuser to allow CA to work.
