Update - looks like my steering is simply the product of terrible material choice by BMW. I sat in my dads brand new 335d today and the same crappy creaking noise happens with his wheel too.

Terrible.

Audi have by far the better interior find in my opinion! I love my 530d, but these little imperfections really let it down.

Every LCI I've driven is the same - the new wheel looks and feels better than the old wheel but there is no question the old wheel was a better quality product with better quality, more solid plastics.

Well, went for the full carbon fibre finisher off the M Performance 2 wheel. The BMW systems don't show this as fitting an M Sport wheel (oddly) but it is identical in every way.

Couple of pics for anyone looking at one...

Any chance of sharing the part number for the finisher?

Thanks.

Hi, the part number is: 32 30 2 345 201

It's the finisher off the M Performance 2 steering wheel, code: 32 30 2 253 649.

It cost me £155inc VAT and fitted it myself.

Image of the part as your dealer will tell you it won't fit probably - but it does and it will!

Cheers

Simon

I am even more disappointed in this Nappa leather... Wrinkles so easily on the bolsters and supports... Then again it could be the fact I weigh 170lbs...

Will this part fit a F10 M Sport steering wheel? I have a 2016 535 M Sport. I cant stand the creaking cheap plastic. I am willing to pay $200 to get rid of it.

I had that cheap plastic in a 320i. The entire car was creaking over every bump. Shame on bmw.
