Just got my 535 and i'm devastated!

Take it somewhere else for a second opinion. In could just be that the "Luxury" shop doesn't want to do it as they're busy enough with more expensive jobs and taking your job will cost $25k to make it worth their wild.

IF you plan on a second opinion then try York Mills Auto Body on Leslie St. south of the 401.
I can attest to great work, fantastic paint matching and insurance approved pricing (at least by my insurer). A major front, back and entire drivers-side accident took just two weeks to repair.

that doesnt look that bad from the pic. looks like you just need a new front bumper and headlights and some other supporting items behind the bumper. maybe its time to upgrade to a M5 replica bumper : )

Insurance company will not write you anything, unless the car is written off.

What they will do instead is send their adjustor to the shop of your choice who will approve or deny the repair cost shop is claiming, and insurance will pay them directly. You never see any money personally. If the cost indeed is 25K and price of 2011 535 is at very best in mid 30s, I don't see how they can approve the repair, or why would you want them to do it.

My advice, don't get too attached if it's that badly damaged, push for a write off and find another car. It's unfortunate for you, but no point keeping a car that's suffered damage that's more than 2/3 of it's current market value.

Sorry about the accident. At least everyone is fine. You ride is going to get fixed and soon you are going to enjoy it a lot. Your interiors look awesome.

I agree, 25 sounds crazy based on photos provided. It really doesn't look that bad.

What I meant is that if the damage ends up being that high, and is approved by insurance, there is a chance it gets written off since the cost of the car on the Canadian used market is in low to mid 30s.
