Lost my voice!

Hi Guys,

Wondering if anybody can help with a self inflicted issue.

Lately made an essays cable successfully for my 2012 F10. Been playing around with a few things and I have disabled the nav voice and voice for reading out my SMS.

I had been trying to enable voice control, which I don't think I have.

Now trying to find the feature I have disabled is not throwing up much. Will it 100% be something I have altered in the HU CIC? If I access the service menu and go into navigation and click voice out put I get nothing. When I have guidance one and the nav unit is going to speak it just mutes the music very very briefly and then comes back on after saying nothing. When I click playback on an SMS nothing happens.

Please note this all use to work. So is it definitely confined to the HU CIC?

If its being moody, you have to press the voice control button and say you're sorry, even though you don't know what for.

Works with my gf all the time

in all seriousness though, go back into eSys and you might have to VO code your NBT_HU by right clicking on the NBT_HU module and pressing 'Code'. This will code the module back to its original set up as per your VO (vehicle order) - i.e. factory settings.

DO NOT NOT NOT NOT EVER PRESS 'Code Default Values' - This blanks the module, bricks it and you will have to buy a new one.

Combobox is contained within newer head units (HU_NBT, HU_NBT_EVO, HU_NBT2), but you may also have CMB_MEDIA for HU_CIC.
