Chemical Damage on paint

Currently heartbroken

I on a normal basis hand wash my car however my best buddy landed a job at a car wash and gave me a free car wash pass. Making a huge mistake I decided to go in and the chemicals they use in the car wash damaged all four of my rims! Does anybody know any products or a way I can fix this!! Thank you!

Damn that sucks man. I just got my forgestar f14s installed about 2 weeks ago. I'm scared to take it to any car wash so I do it myself w soap n water.

Idk if what you did is reversible but your best bet is to email forgestar and ask them what would work.

have you tried washing out with soap and water hoping it's just some kind of residue?

Happened to a friend of mine a few years back. Probably caused by a harsh wheel cleaner being sprayed on your wheels while they were hot and the heat caused a chemical reaction that damaged the finish. You should never apply wheel cleaners to your wheels while they are hot from extended periods of driving. I don't wish anything bad for you, and I do hope I am wrong, but I think the finish on your wheels may have been permanently damaged.

My forgestars came with a little pamphlet specifically on how to clean the wheels. Glad I saw it or I would have prob been in the same boat.
