With the new lighting technologies they are working with increasing the lighting cavity, as well as the lens size allows them more leeway to do things… the full motion of the anti dazzle lighting system clearly benefits from wider lenses in front of the lights allowing wider coverage of the moving lights…and more room to put stuff in there...

Correct me if I am wrong here, but the F10 came out in 2010 as a MY 2011, right? If so, then the next 5er will be out in Fall 2017 as a 2018

But here's some more news. The MY2016 for the F10 will be from 07/15 to 10/16, meaning the G30 will be out in the fall of 2016. http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1082153

Guys, just look at the design of the new X5. I'm 100% sure the headlights and overall lines will be very similar.
Judging from spy pics, I would say that autoblid.de got it pretty close. |

I do not like the look of the headlights going to the grill and also hate the horizontal slats below the bumper!

The 3'er headlamps sucks, hate those and that is the reason I will never buy a 3/4 series.
Putting the navi screen as a "clipped on" iPad also really sucks and looks cheap. As for the bumper, would not ever buy a BMW without the M-opticks si I really dont care. If they go with this exterior design I might have to change brand. Really like the new MB C and E class, to bad they also have the silly navi screen. |

The picture in first post to me has a very Mercedes E class square lines look to it.

SAT Nav is to be standard with all BMW cars as off September in Europe I believe this is global! Either way make sure you get a very good deal for your 2016 F10, being the last year for the F10 production, depreciation factor will do more damage to your wallet, only if you planning to keep the car for a good number of years!

The navi screen pop up look is not about being cheap. If you notice, every manufacturer is heading towards that direction. The point of it is so you don't have to look down. You can still see the road even if you are looking at the screen. Functionally, it works much better than being hidden in the dash. Screens are good enough to still be visible with sunlight exposure. If you don't like it then don't buy it but that's the way things are headed. |

The brand new 2 series does not have it, so not all new BMW get it. And just because "all have it" does not make it look any better. The navi screen still looks like some aftermarket ad on. they should have added another bulge in the dash similar to the E60, that looks much better. or just move all the driver stuff into the HUD and make that standard, I dont use my screen that much really, hardly ever look at it when driving. |
