i could really use some help! i purchased my 535 with the standard stereo, i wanted upgrade and was un able to find a car with it when i wanted to buy. i came out of a 650i with logic7 and now i really hate the stereo i have. narly no bass and too much midrange and nearly nothing in teh rear of teh car.
question, what can i do to upgrade and make this sound better?? another question, my sirius radio sounds really poor and some stations/songs sound really good, any ideas?

Realize that Sirius is going to sound relatively poor no matter what, that source is not good quality. A bigger deal is if CDs/MP3s still sound bad. Looks like you'll have to go aftermarket to get something better.

Are there any HD Radio stations in the Orange County area? You could use that as a quality test source. The station I listen to in San Diego is HD Radio and the sound quality is fabulous. I have the upgraded stereo system in my 535i.

yep, you are correct.. it does sopund pretty good on hd radio.. on my old car the 650 the satellite radio sounded really good.

Check out www.reusaudio.com which actually is located in Orange County. Great systems that blow away BMW's premium sound / Logic 7. I've had these systems in my past 3 cars. Best part, they are stealth--no visible changes you can see.
