I have a 2011 535iX. My rear diff side flex disc shows a sign of some small crack lines at 60k miles. I really wish there is a recall for it. Please keep on posted.

Guibo is a rubber disc that the drive shaft mounts to the transmission so there is a very small amount of give. I didn't realize F10s had this.. maybe it's a x drive feature. My 70s Alfa Romeo has one....

Going in for mine (among other things) tomorrow. E39, E46 and E90 all have guibos - both MT and AT models.

My recall letter from BMW Canada says it's a "constant velocity joint" recall. Here on the forums I read that it's a "flex disc" recall. A flex disc is a long way from a CV joint - interesting discrepancy.

My 2012 550i has a crack in the guibo , flex disc too. Wonder if the recall extends to my model. It is crucial to change right away?

My dealer report said they inspected my vehicle and it was "RUBBER MADE FLEX DISC - NO REPLACEMENT NECESSARY". I wonder if there are several variants and a real CV was used at some point.

I want for my appointment and the same thing was said to my car... I waiting 2 hours in the dealer and only realizing nothing was done except for complimentary car wash

In all fairness, my (Canadian) recall letter did state that my vehicle would be inspected to see if it was affected by the manufacturing issue and whether it needed to be repaired.

I'm going back for the in-tank fuel pump this week.
