Whoever of you guys saying that 550i is more powerfull is wrong
This new S6 does 0-60 in 3.7 and traps 1/4 mile in 12.1 @ 118mph
Freaking monster
There is no way in hell this engine producing little over 400hp
This V8TT is seriously underrated

P.S. In case you cared, it's rated at 27MPG highway

I've owned a lot of Audis and a lot of BMWs over the years. They both have their pros and cons. Audis have really nice interiors and exteriors, just like the F10's do.

BMW steering is still miles ahead of Audi, but I think Quattro is a better system over X-drive. The S6 is supposed to be slotted between an M5 and a 550i, so it won't beat an M5, but it should be better than a 550 in most cases performance-wise.

Just like an S5 is not an M3, it's also not a 335 either.

Agreed - BMW > Audi in all categories except Quattro - BMW's X-drive is an afterthought...
And what would really piss me off about Audi is their rate of change - seems like they have an LCI every year and a model revamp every 4.

+1.
IMHO, BMW > Audi. I can care less if the S6 has 1,000 HP and goes 0-60 in 2 sec. If I wanted a fast sedan with a cheap interior, I'll get a CTS-V. Waaayyy Cheaper and better looking than an S6!!!

Motor Trend tested the S8 (same engine as the S6). It dynoed 479HP and 422lb tq. With 20% AWD drivetrain loss, the crank is estimated at 575HP and 506lb ft of tq. Yes, Audi is clearly underrated the crank power.
