I agree that the 331s are much better looking and I find it odd that they're not the "premium" 550 wheel option since it appears that they're the signature wheels for the series (on the cover of the brochures, etc.). The 332s are a very strange and poor choice for the 550 imho.

But I don't know how we're going to just switch out the 331s for the 332s without buying a second set of wheels (I've had no luck doing a one-for-one swap in the past), and before we do that, we may as well just buy a set of 20s that I'm sure will be available as an accessory.

Too bad.

The USB/iPod adapter has been standard in the 328i for quite some time, so there's more than just the "BMW business model" working here.

BMW knows very well that it is nickel and diming but this is the USA premium market, not the European plain market where they can even offer roll up rear windows in some 3-Series as standard equipment and it is completely normal.

I agree with the poster above as well, the Premium Package (PP) should be standard including the USB in all 5-Series, and the PP2 should be the only PP.

This was exactly the doc I ordered my F10 off on on 3/2. Except it said 100% options, instead of standard. Based on the Revision history, nothing has changed.

So the only way to get Premium hi-fi system is with ZP2?

Smartphone?

And what exactly is smartphone integration? Is that a hands-free bluetooth phone connection that's controlled through iDrive? I have that on my E60 M5, but don't remember choosing it as an option. Maybe it was standard? Thanks.

Smartphone integration has been available as an option on the 7-Series for the last two years. It's a snap-in cradle in the center console that includes a wired interface mount for recharging and hardwired control:

Smartphone Integration $150
For iPhone™ and similar devices, allows access to stored music, can improve signal reception, and recharges the battery.

It adds nothing to the standard bluetooth compatibility which is still included.

Thanks for the clarification. And pictures too! I'm impressed. Definitely looks like a worthwhile option for my iPhone.

What are the standard wheels for the 550i? I thought they were style 330 (18"), but they aren't listed on page 6 of the ordering guide.

I need to ask my Labrador if he wants the rear controls or not, but since we live in SF, I am thinking not.

332 wheels are definitely the most disappointing item on the 550 sport package. BMW so missed the mark, it will probably be corrected by next year but I will be stuck with these horrendous wheels.

Is the same ordering guide available for the entire F10 line (ie 6 models if I'm not mistaken).
Could somebody post by any chance?

Thanks!
