Front brakes warped?

Whenever I brake going over 40 mph I feel the car... wobbling? not sure if wobbling is the right word but you hear dug dug dug dug dug, its not smooth.

I assume that means the rotors are warped?

How much would it run me to get replacement brakes/rotors?
How long do the brakes usually last?

Sounds like warped rotors yes, but have it checked first. I am still on the original rotors 50k km. Think a pair (+ new pads) is about give or take 500-600 usd/eur.

It is most likely warped Rotors but usually one can easily feel through Steering Wheel as it shakes when braking. Where are you in Bay Area? If near South Bay, I can recommend a good Indy shop specialized in BMW's. They are cheaper then a dealer, only use OEM parts, and quality is superior.

Quality of workmanship and honesty are the keys. i do use their service from time-to-time but mostly doing the work myself. if you aren't into DIY, you will like their service. I will PM you their coordinates.

It all depends on driving style and traffic conditions. I have 84k miles and still on original brake pads, front and rear, as I am driving primarily on freeway and with little to moderate traffic most of the time. My brakes are soon to be due but not in critical condition. Some have their rear brakes replaced while vehicle was under original warranty ~34k miles and interesting fact that rear are wearing before fronts one do on F10.

120k KM with lots of aggressive city driving it totally doable.

as for rear brakes.. it is a heavy car so even the rears are used a good amount. but I've never heard of rears wearing out first..

Had my brakes and rotors replaced at 47K. At about 58K now and have same issue. Guess would have to go back in for pads.
