voice control

Just picked up an ex demo F1o (2014) with business nav (520d msport auto) the voice control button does not work on the steering wheel. I assume it does not have voice control activated. Is it possible to code this in or is additional hardware required. I can access my phone via bluetooth but no voice commands. any assistance appreciated!

I have wondered about this too as my Norwegian car does not have voice control either.
In the instruction manual it says it is only active with supported language selected.
I have mine set to English UK, but does not work, I have also tried German, but that does not work either.
The voice command setting under the selected language is gray, and appears to be inhibited.

I had planned to ask BMW if this could be activated at the next service.

On my E46 I had it coded.
