TSCC Autocross 13 July, 2014
Well, today was my second time running the cones in my 2011 550i. It went okay, getting better at controlling the car, but it still handles like a boat on a roller skate. That said, it was a lot of fun.
No one tracks these things, and even ending up in the right class has been a challenge. First it was FSP, then ASP, followed by SSP, only to be told that ESP is where I belonged. At this stage it doesn't matter, as I'm still in the novice class, but it does make me chuckle that a reputable car club had some serious difficulty and debate for where to put me. With that over and done with, here's my best run from the stands and from the car: The car has just a tick over 45k miles, and will be needing tires before too long. Right now I'm thinking Hankook RS3's, any other suggestions?

Running the Continental runflats the car came with right now. But the rears are getting thin way faster than the fronts thanks to random burnouts at stoplights.
I just want a good balance of wear and performance, and I'm leaning toward getting non-runflat tires this next go round. I'll look into the PSS's, you aren't the first to recommend those specifically. I think sway bars would be the next order of business. There are a couple of fully prepped 3 series in the club, so getting some advice on where to go next should be pretty easy.
