both alpine white with similar milage. I need help with the decision because I really am torn. The M5 is tuned with downpipes, intake and exhaust so it's perfect as is but it's a 16 hour drive away. Personally, between those two, I would go for the M550i. Updated design, updated engine, and 4 years of less wear & tear. The M550i is also a different beast from our F10 550i. BMW actually made it sporty and handle better, not to mention comes with a killer stock exhaust setup, vs our Hyundai-like sounding stock mufflers.

M5 will always buy you exclusivity into the M club and bragging rights. Having said that, I still wouldn't choose it over a 2018 M550i for the reasons mentioned above. All of the things you had to fix on your 14 550i are probably waiting for you on that M5 (high-pressure fuel pump, upper oil pan leak, leaking turbo lines, etc.). All big ticket items.

The M550 should also be under the factory warranty.

It does? What club do you speak of?

If this club exists, I'm glad I'm not a member...an M5 doesn't make you better than non-M5 owners....and matter of fact, anyone who thinks their ///M makes them better than the rest of us, then they have bigger issues....

[The BMWCCA allows everyone in as long as you pay the dues..]

I can remember the days when I was excited to just own a BMW..and now having owned many ///M's...it doesn't make me better than anyone else...at least in my book.

Go for the M550.
