Will all of my car problems should up at a different dealership?
I was told today that the reason one of my angle eye is not working is because a part is burned. This happened because I switch my fog light to HID light so they are not covering for charges of the part which is going to cost me $1000. So I'm wondering if I can just take my car back and replace the HID kit back to the OEM fog light. Will this problem still show up on the a different dealership computer? And is there a solution to this problem? HELP ME PLEASE!!!

Hey Rocky,
My friend had the same thing happen to him for improper install of his suspension and it was caught at Irvine BMW. He took it to Crev BMW and they knew about what happened at Irvine so I guess you might be screwed. Sorry to break the bad news. |

Just go to another dealer with your stock bulbs. I messed up my airbag system trying to mess with the angel eye wiring and took it into BMW San Diego. They tried to say it was due to the HID kit I had installed on my lows, highs and fogs. I told them that I had been running the kit for a couple of months prior to that happening and they fixed the issue on warranty. On another instance I had a rattle on the passenger seat and took it in for service (@ BMW San Diego), they blamed it on my aftermarket exhaust. Took it to BMW Encinitas and they fixed the seat. So I say go to another dealer with your stock bulbs, like nothing happened, they might just fix it. You never know until you try

Speaking just for myself, I would rather not pay (through the purchase price) a share of the spurious warranty claims made by you folks who modify your cars in a way that breaks them. Anyone who hides a mod in order to get warranty coverage is cheating the rest of us.

Most likely you are now in the Dealer system and others will know what is going on when they look up your VIN.
Best option is to talk to them again and see if you can talk them down in price somewhat. |

which dealership did u take it to?
i seriously sugget u to go to southbay bmw and talk to qais, i think he should be able tohelp you out. if irvine already puts a void on the warranty on the lighting, pretty much all the dealerships will see it since they are all linked.
