4)got it coded
5)bavsound stage 1

I paid dearly on the wife tax for these items but all well worth them. I think for me coding so far has been the best mod.

I think either AMP or subs will be next before I start on the exhaust and other things.
Hey I hear ya on the wife tax!!

I've had several people ask for the amp review. We're off for Good Friday, so I plan on doing it then. There is no doubt the subs are in the future. I'm amazed how good the Stage 1 upgrade sounds. The clarity of them is unreal. I can litterly hear fingers gliding over struts on guitar riffs. Really cool. I expect the Amp to make it that much better.

I like your upgrades, what did you do on the tuning and led lights?

More to follow.

did a few things on the coding.

1) mirrors fold in/out on lock and unlocking via comfort access or key fob
2) got rid of the seat belt warning
3) got rid of the general bmw warning when you first start your car.
4) enabled a bunch of add on's for the HUD
5) fog lights stay on with high beams
6) auto start/stop remember last setting
7) enable siri voice control
8) add temp and psi to tpms screen

the led's I bought from precision led's they are pretty nice, only reason I bought them from there is because they made a video on how to remove all the panels needed for the car as well as included the trim panel removal tools.

Looking at swapping grills next. Is it a simple thing to do. I have sophisto grey f10 btw, and polished silver wheels. The grey is closer to black than grey.

easy as pie! just yank from inner to outer as it's only held in by tabs. there's a DIY if you look.

Adding the grills is a piece of cake. Took me 15 minutes. In my case the black looks awesome next to the silver, much better than the chrome flavored stock ones.

In my case what helped was reading one of the threads on here that started off showing how to pull the bumper back and then several people saying "Whoa, you don't have to do that" and showed how to pull them out by hand. I cheated a little bit, I took a rubber coated flathead screwdriver and pried them just enough to get them moving; the bumper gives a little bit, you just don't want to use metal on it. It doesn't take much to give you more space to yank 'em out.

It was my first upgrade and I really like the look.

Will try it so.
Is there a way to combine grills.
Eg i like the Chrome of the Lines not just the outer ring. Say if i got the All Black one and i want to mix and match.

Then the fin in the lower bumper, mine is grey what do yall do it? Wrap, Paint or Order black ones?

Yep, I do want the interior LED kit. I already picked up the OEM Gloss black grilles, and a trunk spoiler from a member here (luckily his car was also Alpine White). Next up is exhaust, for which I will have to cut out holes in my diffuser for the new quad tips, until I decide which diffuser I want to go with.
You guys should have seen my wife's face when I got home with the exhaust
Her response was to roll her eyes and say "already starting, huh?"

Not sure how much this exhaust will give me. On my 550 the RPI scoop, BMC filter, and exhaust dynoed at 35 whp above stock (same day before/after). We will see what the sound and power look like when this gets installed. Still have a bunch of mods to do.

Thanks. I'm in a 528i with the N20, so I'm trying for more hp, will install the BR-1 stage 1 this weekend which will get me in the 275hp range, so if exhaust could eek me closer to 300 I'd be happy. Don't get me wrong, mine is a daily driver so it has plenty for me and I like the mileage on road trips, but I also have a Y chromosome, so I'm always after more power.

Will be interested to hear about future mods.

LMAO, I am exactly the same. I am loving the gas mileage (I came from a V8 550 to my 535), but I want more power.

Some extra power is more important for me, but the subs are great too. The OEM speakers/subs might sound good enough for most people, but not for me. Bavsound kit is just too good. Worth every penny imo.

I agree, sound is important. I am just shelving the sound department until I see the performance I would like to see. No matter how fast my car gets, at some point I will want to have good speakers/woofers to make it sound right - can't go fast all the time

Same here! I will do my Audio but it'll be some time before I do since I'm still working on my exterior
