looking for a new car 535i vs m3 saloon? any thoughts?
im in the market for a new car and im wondering if i should buy a new 535i or m3 sedan? the match is pretty close altough i dont like the rear end of the new sedan and im not sure if i like it more than i like the e60 in the other hand the m3 is not exactly the m that i like the most, but as we are looking for a sedan i thought why dont get an m now instead of getting it in the next 5 years. what do you think guys? i gotta admit that i would love wearing an ///m cap with pride and not as a poser

wow...those are VERY different cars and the M3 is going to set you back a bit more than a 535. Yea, both have 4 doors and 4 wheels, but that's about it. Drive them both and that will answer your question.
In my opinion, i'd go with the 535 just because it fits my life style right now. I'm moving from a 335 vert and have a 2 yr old...so i need the space. Perhaps when she's a little older...then i'll opt for the M3...let's see, that will be the F90 or something like that. |

LOL I just traded in my 2008 E90 M3 6MT for a 535iA.
M3 is a blast but I can't use the sportiness all the time in traffic. I love drifting but time and space are not on my side. I have a wife and 2 growing kids. I enjoyed my M3 for almost 2 years. But I fell in love with the F10 model. Besides it's a bit cheaper in insurance, FUEL CONSUMPTION, and just will cost me less. Plus new model with a great engine(I owned a 335i back in 2006/7/8 and as a daily drive I really prefer the 335i to the M3.....) Just think about it. yes but the m3 will be my mothers car, right now she have a 525i but she is looking to upgrade. my dad has an expedition and with that bus i dont think space would be a problem as the bmw would only be driven by my mother and i. the truth is id love to have an m but fuel consumption and the smaller size have me wondering. i love the looks of the e60, its so..... how shall i put it? executive. its a car with a very classy look and i love that, if only the m5 was cheaper.
anyways robin, how did you feel the m3 as a daily driver? not as comfortable? is it annoying taking bumps? i have a z4 and i hate the suspension as a daily driver, every little imperfection on the road makes me feel like the car is going to jump out of the road. lol as i wont trade my z for anything in the world i guess i am just making up excuses so i can buy an ///M car and have acces to it anytime i want . still i dont know because here its almost impossible to testdrive an ///M as they are special orders. and a 535i doesnt sound bad at all. the other thing is that here a 535i cost like a hundred grands and the m3 is like 5 grands more so there isnt much of a difference in price.

the m3 sedan is much sportier than the 535i... on the other hand the new 5 has an excellent interior if it is equiped properly! i'm curious about the M Packet for this new 5...
