Both my remotes stopped working...

So yesterday both of my remotes stopped working completely. I replaced the battery in both of them with no luck. The only way for me to start the car is to hold the key against the steering wheel. I have been searching all over, and I cant figure this out. It seems awfully coincidental that both remotes stopped working at the same time. Is there a receiver that can go bad, or that I need to resync the keys to? Leading up to this I did start getting the error that it didnt detect the key, after I would start the car. But now its all gone in the toilet. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Yes there is an antenna that can go out.
You can try some diagnostic steps at www.newtis.info,
but you should start with reading the error codes.

Can the remotes become unsynced? Everything works fine using the metal key in the door (door locks, alarm), so I cant imagine there is a blown fuse. Using the buttons on remote doesn't do anything however. I have watched many videos and read posts, but nothing seems to work. Does anyone know if there is a procedure to resync your remotes? The key is, wearing on me lol

There is a icon on the right side of the steering column, hole the fob there for pairing.

That is the only way for me to start the car at the moment. But is there some special sequence to make it pair?

Nope, if it does nothing then there is a problem with the car or fob.
Have another fob?

The key is purely mechanical and only works for the doors and center console. When we had to use valet parking on vacation last year I kept the key and gave the fob to the valet. When we went out for the day I used the key to unlock the door and console, unlocked the trunk, used the interior trunk release to open the trunk, put my laptop in the trunk and then locked everything back up. I took the extra fob and locked it in the trunk with my laptop.

It just seems information is all over the map in regards to the syncing of these keys. My other one doesn't work as a remote either, but will start the car when held up to the wheel. I dont ever go to the dealer, but if that the only way to sort this out, I will do it.

I am bumping this as I still never figured this out. Is there any chance someone knows the antenna part number that would need to be replaced? Nothing else has worked. Thanks!
