Asian Emperor out of Bremerhaven 14-Aug-2011: anybody else?
My car left Germany today for the US. Anybody else aboard? Perhaps the owner of this 550i that was next to mine at the BMW dropoff?
(The one on the left is mine.)

The car got to New Jersey about 36 hours before Hurricane Irene, on Thursday, Augut 25.
On the Wallenius-Wilhelmsen website, the car never got past "loaded on vessel". My CA emailed me to let me know that the car cleared Customs on Thursday, September 1. It was scheduled to ship today (Monday, September 5), but I'm assuming they're off, so Tuesday. Hoping to get the car Thursday or Friday of this week...and leaving on vacation on Saturday. If I don't have the car by then, I will be NOT HAPPY. (So far, it's been 30 days since I dropped the car off in Munich.)

This wait is worse than before the initial delivery. It's like you've had a quick taste, but then it was taken away.
Note to self: if I do an ED next time, stay in Europe for two weeks.

So you're saying I shouldn't stay in Europe for only a week? Becauses the pick up and drop off is only M - F I'll have have mine like 4 full days.

I think they do deliveries on Saturdays, too. If you drop off at Munich airport, you can do it on Saturday until 2:00 PM.
I want to do it for two weeks next time to have more time with the car, including after the breakin period. I covered over 1,300 miles during the six days I had the car, but there's still a lot I would have like to see and do that I couldn't.
