I later found that the trap speed speed was really low for a car that supposedly traps 114mph stock.. I then brought the Car to BMW and guess what!! I had air/boost leaks! Along with some other stuff lol.
He car was serviced and fixed. When I got it it drove amazing! How amazing!? Look at what I dynoed today. Same place where I originally dynoed. Same conditions. BMS Stage 1 with premium 93 Fuel. 480AWHP and 528AWTRQ !

That is up 40HP and 38TRQ with no Power drop! with better more consistent power and throttle response. I believe I should Now be able to do 11.8-11.9 at 118mph+. .
What do you guys think!! Highest dyno for a N63TU.

Also.. When I uped the boost on the device I got 498AWHP and 448AWTRQ.. If BMS knew that you don't need higher octane to increase dial to make power! I actually did some more tests and stay tuned... These little JB boxes are Magic! I can only imagine with race gas!
Trying to get in to dyno ASAP. What gear were the pulls in?

dont forget to turn off traction by holding traction button... to hold gears make sure to put your shifter to the left so it gets in to M mode.

I'm having the EXACT same problem with the power drop as soon as the boost builds. I can even hear a whistling right as it happens. I took a look at the area of item 9 (the tube to turbo gasket and i can see that it's loose. you can wiggle the tube and see the gasket move. There is one bolt holding the tube to the turbo at the tip of the tube but no bolt mounting on the bottom. Seems like a bad design. I tightened the bolt as far as it can go but i can still wiggle the tube. I tried to wedge it in by pushing the tube down and took a drive. No more power drop! So this definitely has an effect. I can live with it for now. I'll need to go to the dealer soon anyway for rear brakes so I;ll have them replace the tube/gasket then.

^^ When i inspected mine there was on bolt on top and one hidden bolt on the bottom. Both were hard to reach because there was other stuff blocking it. What did you use to get in there to tighten it?

Again that area doesn't see boost but rather only vacuum air since the turbo is sucking in air from the intakes in that location. I can see that causing an issue only because it would be taking in "un-meterred" air and the ecu might not like it if its a significant amount.

No downpipes. You will have to live with a check engine light if you run Dps until someone comes out with a legit tune that can disable it for the N63TU.

I have a 3" axleback exhaust on mine and I believe the OP's car is still fully stock except for the BMS tune.

You are correct. All stock with just BMS tune with increases dial
I ran a e60 m5 last night with a tune and from 40-120 I was ahead by about 3 cars and pulling. I had my dial on my Jb increased by "1" with 3 more settings to go. So yea.

I think this is only true if you use a catless DP. If you go catted I've read that there is no CEL. Catted DP's should still decrease turbo lag a good bit over the standard DP.

From what i read here and on the M5 forums even those with high flow cats still gets a cel eventually because the ecu is still not liking what its seeing from the O2 sensors.

More great info! Thanks.

Experiencing any "knock" with this magic box? Whether from lower octane fuel, turning up the dial or at high RPM?

The un-metered air would make sense. one additional piece of info. i ran with the BMS stage 2 set to map 1 "on" and it the cutoff in power was pretty abrupt. I set it to map 0 (stock) and it still did it but it was less noticeable, BUT also making a lot less power. So probably since the BMS is faking out the ECU to pump up the boost, getting the additional un-metered air may be causing the ECU to abruptly reduce boost. either way as long i keep that gasket tight, all is fine.
