AT malfunction after 2 months

Had my 2 month old 520 break down on the freeway yesterday. A loud thump from the transmition followed by the engine going into emergency mode. Crawled to the AD and waiting for their feedback. Pretty bummed by this obviously, and the fact that the customer rep tried to charge me for a rental didnt make matters better. Made a call to BMW Norway and they helped me out towards the dealer. I am not impressed by customer care this far for a premium brand and a 100 k car....

Of interesting note to other owners, I had a drivetrain malfunction errormessage appear 3 weeks ago, but was told to just turn engine off and back on again by dealer via phone. I would advice other owners to take the car to dealer if you get this message, just to be sure... Will keep you posted.

On the lighter side, I just ordered some 20" to soothe the pain :-)

What dealer did you go to? I would consider that to be very poor customer service. 20" sounds nice. After looking at all the pictures in here I almost regret I decided for those 18" 350 M sport rims comming with the M-sport package.

I am considering of buying a F10/F11 these days and it would be nice to know which dealers/stealers to stay away from.

I live in Drammen BTW(40km south of Oslo)

Update on this, the dealer was Bilia Follo (ski) Of wich I have absolutely no good things to say. I bought my car from Stenshagen Bil and they have now stepped up, and are currently in the process Of transporting my car over there. The salesrep have called me and i also recieved a call from stenshagens mechanic so i feel in good hands with them now. Really good customersevice from Stenshagen, and really really poor service from billia Ski. When this ordeal is over i will email to BMW Norway and explain what has happened.

5-6 years ago I had a bad experience with Tronerud bil in Drammen(120i). they were bought by Billia so I can imagine that Bilia is continuing in the same way.

Update, nothing was found wrong on the car, other than 0,1 dl of transmissionfluid lacking. Everything reset, inspected the things most obvious and testrun. According to telemetry the error occured at 338 nm on full throttle, the setting was sport. This is the second time this happens. If this happens a third time I'll be Asking for a new car. Mechanics and salesrep top notch at Stenshagen. I feel theyll take care Of me When this happens again (as i am pretty sure it will) I'll keep you updated...

I ordered from germany about 1700 euro pluss shipping 152 euro. I think these look fantastic and almost oem in a way. Cant wait to Get them
