Most revealing F10 5-series photos yet (loses some camoflage)! 10/20/09
Seen here are the most revealing F10 5-series photos yet. The strip tease continues and this test car sports less camoflage than ever. She's shaping up to be a beauty folks!!
The first photo also shows a nice comparison to the frontend of the 5-series GT. From Motorauthority: http://www.motorauthority.com/pictur...ry-1#100231338

Seems pretty bland to me. Maybe my mind will change when I see the final reveal, but for now the new 5er is just boring.

Looks flat faced, like the front got punched in.

Ehh... Too early to tell looks-wise. And I thought the larger grill of the GT was going to carry over (I like it more).
All I know is that it will DEVASTATE the competition in the comparo's

Maybe thats just you, but I think this is pretty hot. There can be HOT cars that are not supremely expensive and have an interior room of a toadstool. IMHO I think the first DB9 was hot. After introducing the Vantage/ DBS and the 4 door coupe (YUK), its been over played and a little OTT

I won't show my BMW fanboy colors, this car looks bland. It will not have the impact on design like the E60 did. |

Nice design... but not nearly as different (exciting imo) as the e60's were.
The overall silhouette reminds me of a stretched and bigger e90 with a flat face. I do like that fact that the new 7, GT, and now 5er all look like they came from the same family of cars.

The aston range does not do anything for me... see them where i live all the time. Have seen a wierd yellow Vantage in my neighborood and almost threw up. Give me a scarlet ferrari anyday.

I think I'll reserve my final opinion once I see it in person. I dont think it's THAT bad....... Imagine it with an aero kit or in M5 guise......

Is it bad that I actually like the new 5er?
For the last 8 years, I haven't liked a new BMW at first sight. However, every model that I didn't like has grown on me and turned out to be a very appealing car...I ended up buying the e60 and the e92 because I thought they were gorgeous, despite hating their designs at first and liking the older generation when I first saw the new cars released. Anyone else experience this? |

could have been more masculine.. they make the car look more pure with every new model despite more detailed which we don`t even notice at first sight.. but one thing i can be sure off would be to drive this definitely would be fascinating...
and this surely looks better than the new E Class.. |

Color me dissapointed. This design is way too conservative. I don't know why, but I was expecting so much more from the front bumpers and especially the headlight design. The grilles are too round at the far upper corners as well. I bet ten bucks that the refreshed F10 will have more abrupt grille corners.
The rear looks good, might even be the saving grace. The sides look good too, but I seriously hope they differentiate this template of a strong character line with a lower suage line in future models. I still think this will look good, but it's not going to have the impact of the E60 (which looked terrible pre-FL, so it was more of shock than amazement haha). The brightwork better have a good impact, hopefully.
