Congrats cwong. You sure are a quick mover. Mod already for your 1st day. Hehe. Don't worry, you wife won't notice. Just an inch or so. Even if she found out just tell her new car's springs will settle a bit after driving for a while. This is true even for your aftermarket springs. Hehe.

One day is more than enough. Just a few hours job. Make sure you tell WK to do the rear springs via the speakers. Tell them not to take off the back seat.

Just got the car back. I left the car with them overnight because I can't take it there this morning. They called around 3pm for me to pick it up.

Costs slightly more in terms of installation and alignment, because the damn DHP needs code cancellation from BMW.......

And yes, thanks RC3, as I specifically told them to remove the rear speakers for access to screws instead of taking the rear seats apart

Can't really tell as it was a short ride home in heavy rain and traffic. Any suspension will feel ok at speed of 20-30km/hr

Got your car back already. Just wanna go little after 6. Won't see you then. You've done the alignment already? Thought it will be better to wait a while so the springs settle a bit.

I still have not done alignment after the springs swap. Should I do it? If yes, I'll do it in one go.

They did an alignment after the springs to make sure everything is ok. That's another reason why installation is a bit more than just spring install

Been couple of days now and some thoughts on the Eibachs

Installed the Eibachs on my F10 on Thursday and put some thoughts together here.

And for the impatient and the people, the pictures are here as well.

Enjoy

Does anyone know where I can order a set for my 550i with AD? H&R and ACS are a bit too low for the garages that I frequent

Also, did any gurus here try the Eibach springs? How do they compare to ACS/H&R/RD?

Many thanks for any comments
Mlai:

I ordered the RD Springs from RD Brands LLc in Anaheim, CA. (714)970-5400. I communicated with Federico Pavoncelli, Managing Director of Racing Dynamics and my springs were sent from Germany. They arrived this past week and will be installed in early July. I have a 2011 550 XDrive with M Sport and Adaptive Drive, so they are specific for this car. You can reach Federico at fpavoncelli@racdyn.com. Good Luck

Try RD Sport 5260 E. Hunter Av., Anaheim, CA. 92807....(714)970-5400. I purchased my RD Springs from them, although the springs shipped from Germany Shipped the end of June and I had them installed on July 11. Took a full day to install and the car looks great. Realignment of wheels was included.
