Poll: carbon fiber or painted lip?
I know, I know, I should just do an m-tech bumper conversion. I just can't get myself to spend the money on it.
SO, I've decided on a 3d style lip. My car is mojave/havana brown. It looks brown/taupe in direct sunlight and dark grey in the shade. The question is, which will look better with my vehicle color, carbon fiber or painted the same color as the car? I will have an m5 grill installed next week, so it will have chrome trim w black slats which may accent the carbon fiber better and look more aggressive. Thanks guys, I appreciate your input before h&r springs after h&r springs Another pic of the color during the day The lip: A few carbon fiber shots: lip installed (w splitter under) thanks to lsturbointeg for the pic This hamann style lip is carbon fiber on havana - only pic I can find of carbon on havana Last edited by teoulennon; 11-11-2015 at 10:31 AM.. |

Well u don't need to know which one I would vote for!
Your car has a unique color so either way will look good. with color the front bumper will look Fuller if that makes sense. With carbon fiber it will make it look like component accents. Hmmmm... I'm not sure if any of that made sense

Thanks ls, yea I get what you're saying. I'm worried that the carbon fiber lip would look out of place or break up the lines of the bumper too much..not many pics of the carbon fiber lip installed online

There u go! That's what I was trying to say when I meant when I said "Fuller" it'll look like a complete bumper instead of like something's missing

I've decided to go with painted. Then maybe see what options are for some carbon fiber canards or diffuser under it later.
Cory, there wasn't much ride difference at all with the springs and new wheel setup. Naturally I can feel bumps and potholes more but in general there really isn't much difference - absolutely worth it. |

I say keep it carbon. I'm a fan of tasteful carbon trim pieces.
EDIT: Looks like I broke the tie for you!
