X-drive tires

Anybody running 255/35/20 and 285/30/20 tires on xdrive? If so have you had any problems with running this setup. Need to decide on some tires and looking for some help

thanks

You need to run 245/35/20 and 285/30/20 so you have equal front/rear rolling diameter. 255/35/20 will make your front taller than rear

Analog is right. I was concerned about sizes when I was looking for staggered on my x-drive. With help from this forum I made the decision to pull the trigger. I'm running 245/285 with no problem. 255 might be too big for the front.

Still learning about tire sizes so let me know if i am looking at it incorrectly . When i plug in the diameters in 1010tires calc the OEM BMW 245/275 shows overall diameter 679.5mm/673mm(.96%) and the 255/285 shows 686.5mm/679mm(1.105%) . the difference seems pretty small.

Look on AC schnitzer homepage. They are selling both options.
245 and 255, in both cases with 285 in back.
Both setups should work.

Both setups should work.
Generally these setups should work, but not on an X-Drive. If the difference in overall diameters is big, then the X-Drive system would be confused and messed up.

Some forum members are running the 255/35/20 and 285/30/20 on their xdrive without any issues. I am going to run the same and see how it goes

One More question - I did the 255/285 setup. Car feels rear heavy and little sluggish. Is that normal with a staggered setup? Never did staggered before so trying to understand if staggered does that to a car compared to square setup

thanks

They are BC Forged HB 29 with Michelin A/s3. Not sure about the wheel weight.

Posting an update - After a few miles on the tires the Car feels great now. Much better than OEM tires. So far no issues with the setup on xdrive.
