Doors hard to close - 535i GT

Maybe its because I had the comfort package on my 7 but the doors on my 535 GT seem to be hard to close.

Anyone else notice this.

I have always gone for the "soft close" door option on my cars, so I'm not able to help,BUT could it be that you are not yet used to "regular" shutting doors?

I notice the same thing.
You really need a firm push to close it properly. Unfortunately, the soft close door option was not available for 535 in my region.

yeah, I think its partially because I am not used to the non comfort doors.

They had a model with that option, but I just like the color.

This is a defective design. If you don't pay extra for the electric door closer, the doors do not close easily as they would on a car that didn't have an electric door option. The first few months I had to get used to it and close the doors very hard to get them to close fully. Passengers usually do not close it the first try.

Frameless doors almost always are harder to close than a framed window door. Otherwise, you won't get a a decent water/air seal.
