Could it be that's it was originally a stage 1 that was upgraded to stage 2? I'm still trying to figure out what's up. Bought it used obviously.

my stage 1 uses this same G3 V2 board also. sounds like its a stage 1

But it has the DME wires. Could it be that it's a stage 1 upgraded to stage 2? Wasn't that an option for the early versions?

It ended up to be one of the coil pack going out on me. Installed all new ngk 95770 gapped at .022 and full set of eldor coil packs and she's good. Also, reinstalled jb4 but currently just at tmap sensors (stage 1?). So far so good but not sure if it's just me or in my head but it doesn't feel as aggressive as when I had the DME wires connected. I'll wait a few more days and maybe reinstall the DME wires.

How will connecting the DME wires increase power output compared to just running tmap connectors? Or will it not make a difference?

you can increase boost while Tmap connected, wires have a few safety options plus e30 support.
i ran 12.0 flat on stage 1 and 11.8 on stage 2 with all the wires plugged in, the headache and codes from extra wires was not worth the faster time but a constant migraine.

It seems like its the original stage 1 thats upgraded to stage 2 or just the oldest gen stage 2. Regardless, running just TMAP only on this will run what? Stage 1 or Stage 2? What are the boost levels of those? How to do I adjust boost, if its even possible?

The new stage 1 with the G3 V2 boards are non adjustable and set at 3psi.
The older stage 1 boards were defaulted at 2.25psi and are adjustable, "badblack" bumped his to 4psi on race gas.
I've read the the Stage 2s were 4.5-5psi, somewhere around there.

Did you order the cable and JB4 software?

Were you able to adjust the boost?
