Seen a member on one of the other forums recommend a walnut blast every 60k miles. Anybody walnut blast their n63? Or is it not necessary ?

Thanks

Super expensive to do a walnut blast on the n63. The intake at the bottom makes it almost impossible to do it without removing the engine. I would rather recommend running with fuel system cleaners and the technique of running the car for 20 mins or so on the highway at 3k-4k RPMs to burn away any carbon buildup. Maybe Seafoam might be a better option for this engine.

On direct injection engines, the fuel spray occurs inside the combustion chamber, down stream of the valves. Fuel additives won’t pass over the valves, so they’d be ineffective. Sea foam into a vacuum port should hit the valves... but I wouldn’t want to be the first to try it.

Walnuts were a miracle cure for our N54... it ran like a champ after the treatment.
