Both are common repairs on these cars, why are you upset at the dealer? Every car that goes into the shop gets a look over for common items and safety concerns... if they didn't bring these items up and they failed on you "out of the blue" 3 months later you'd be upset at them for "not catching it"

That flex disc doesn't need to be replaced yet, put on your short watch list yeah... but its not imperative yet.

Just about every F-Chassis car 75k+ that comes through the shop I work at need a diff bushing because it looks exactly like yours.

You absolutely right. I will be going crazy. I have visited a shop today to check there price for all the job for $1100 and they are 5 star rate on yelp shop only for BMW. I think I will go with them soon. but I will let them change every rubber down there so I don't have to visit this again soon. thanks

I will be doing mine, Turner Motorsports has the tool to remove and press the new one in. The tool is designed to accomplish this while the diff is still in the car.

I misspoke, I thought I saw it on the Turnermotorsport website, well it isn't for the F10. I did find it hear though.

So I accomplished the differential bushing swap this past Saturday, and I have a few DIY observations. If you are used to doing "heavy" car maintenance, this is not a complicated job. It is however time consuming, it took me 8 hrs with a run to the BMW dealership to complete the bushing swap along with the rear flex disc. To everyone considering to attempt this, a lift is a must. It think it would take at least two days doing this on the floor. Another note, if you have a stock exhaust I would consider changing the flex disc at the same time while your in there. This is what caused my trip BMW, my flex disc was cracking from the differential side, but not all the way through. The rear differential bushing was in the same condition. The KTC tool I used worked perfectly. I used anti-seize on the threads of the bolt to prevent galling. It took roughly 30 mins to remove the old bushing and install the new bushing using hand tools. The stock exhaust is a two man effort, and at least three pole jacks to get it down. All-in-all, it isn't the worst job I done on a car, but not the easiest. I honestly had more frustration with the serpentine belt tensioner than this. I am here for any questions you guys have.

Good to know what to expect on high mile F10's.

Both are not bad jobs to do... Try a good BMW shop in your area, i bet they charge way less

Oh wow I just had this exact same issue with my mounts but it was the differential and the engine mounts. I was quoted $2550. Should I ask them to look at the flexdisc while they're in there? BTW I also had the problem appear just around 75k. Seems almost like clockwork. Didn't know that this was an issue.

I have EasyCare coverage which i was offered when i bought my CPO. The guy upselled my hard on it saying that it will definitely pay off. I bit and bought it for 100,000 miles for $1750.

The one problem i didn't expect was a turbo intake leak which is supposedly causing my drivetrain malfunction when i drive up a long steep incline on the highway. Someone explain that one to me cause I don't know how that works, but that's what they diagnosed.
