That's what happens when you have a powerful engine with rear-wheel drive!

Unhappy Mine too.........!!

Gang,

Attached are pictures of the BMW along side I75 south of Sarasota, FL last week. 1-12-11

A car in the right lane started to change lanes as I was passing it. Here in FL they do not have a speed reduction as you enter Construction zones. Anyway I instantly took evasive action to the left and the there was the concrete barricades. Two seconds before it was not there and then all of a sudden it was. You see the end result. $26K+ damage

BTW: Insurance company Totaled the car today

My friend drives a transporter and he said he saw this. The driver got the pedal stuck on the cardboard they lay down to protect the carpet. The rest is history

You don't say, but I assume that you and your passengers were unhurt. That's the main thing.

You're probably better off with the total since these modern cars with the unibody construction are usually never quite right after a hard hit like that. Hopefully you weren't badly hurt financially with the settlement.

I don't suppose the moron that put you into the wall stuck around to apologize? Or to take responsibility?

Sorry to see this and hope you are unhurt. How do you find the Safety features?

BTW are you going for a F10 again?

My wife and I both were left unhurt in the event.

Insurance came through with a complete settlement that didn't hurt us at all

No he/she didn't, in fact no one stopped. The only ones that stopped were off duty police that were about 4 cars behind us

Already did last night. This one is just like the other, only its Cashmere Silver Metallic with dark wood interior.

The Safety features were beyond belief. The 5 series has not only the standard front and side "Air Bags", but also "Knee Air Bags". Those coupled with the seat belts kept us safe and unhurt
