Pulling the trigger on a 2014 535d. Best time?

What is the best time to lease a 2014 535d? August, September? I wanted to wait for the 2015 model to start coming into the showroom so I can get a good deal on a 2014.

What say you world?

I think you'd get a good deal on this model at any point from here on out since you're looking at a 2014, 6/30 is 2nd quarter end so may not be a bad time to push a deal.

I was able to get a loaded 2015 535d, space gray, premium, driver assist, plus, luxury seating, msport, hk, soft close, sport transmission for $68,500. From there they were taking off $1000 drive event, $1000 Eco credit, $1500 option allowance for a cap cost of 65k.

I walked away when they told me the entire $3500 would be used for the pull ahead on my 13 535i (no deal for 13s). It made no sense for me, when I can just wait until October and get the same deal, and won't have to lose the $3500.

Car drives pretty nice. Virtually indistinguishable from the 535i. What would drive me to the 535d is the increases in MPG (I drive about 15k) and use of HOV express lanes (about $150/month).

Good luck.

HOV lanes? You mean the carpool? I had no idea a diesel gives you that right.

Depends on your local traffic laws.

I'm fairly certain it's 99.99% smoke up my behind to sell a car...

I live in FL, and I've tried contacting the FDOT to confirm. Fortunately/unfortunately, no one knows anything, so I think it becomes an issue of which person's desk your application ends up on...

The dealer assured me the 335d, 535d and X5d get the carpool lanes sticker.

And in Miami we have express lanes, with a variable fee charged depending on traffic. Worst raping ever! I regularly pay between $9-15/day to drive on those lanes. If I can get the sticker, it would save a considerable amount of money compared to a similarly equipped 535i.

Just FYI, leasing cars in December has always worked out for me due to the aggressive end of the year promotions. Realistically however, any perceived difference is $20-40/month depending on promotions. It's not enough to hold off unless you really really are trying to get the most bang for your buck.

My vote is late October. Last year I got my car at invoice plus $5,000 (CAD) cash from BMW. I bought it in late October and the dealer had the car transferred from Toronto (took 2 weeks) with delivery in November.

The best time to get a car is in the winter bc no one buys cars during that time!

+1
And anytime you walk in interested and walk out...the "takeaway" usually works to get what you want.

Well, you know how it is Of course I'm itching, but $50 less a month it's not something to throw away.

What I think I'm gonna do is, around end of August, go to my dealership and tell them my conditions: 36k miles / 3 years, no more than $5k drive-off, no more than $700 / month. And the car configuration, of course.

And then ... wait for the right offer to pop-up.
