Adding adaptive cruise retrofit?
Hello,
I was searching around, couldn't find the answer, my car has every option but adaptive cruise control on my 2013 550XI, what is needed to add it? Has anyone done it? I have lane departure, front collision, blind spot indicators, HUD, side view cameras and top view camera. |

As some would say, anything is possible if you have enough $$! ..
Short answer, For Adaptive cruise, you need 1x Long Range Radar (bottom of front bumper) and probably a new ABS module and new trim covers upfront on the bumper. New wiring hardness will be needed to connect all the modules. Besides that you'll need the car to be programmed AND finally, the real killer, is Calibration of the ACC at a BMW Dealer... which takes a few hours and they charge you a ton.. And if your car has NBT, then you need to get an FSC code from BMW which won't be cheap either to enable ACC.. Last edited by addy27; 09-18-2017 at 10:58 PM.. |
