SIB 62-0613, but there are many SBs against the Condition Based Service system. I hate to say for sure, because I'm not, which of the several service bulletins, or in which combination, eventually "worked."

just had this popup again for the 4th time in the 1.5yr ive owned the car. They've done the reprogramming, updating, new instrument cluster... nothing is fixing this. any suggestions would be greatly helpful.

Have you already gotten your shop foreman and service manager involved? If not, start there if for no reason other than to keep the peace locally when you contact BMWNA to open a trouble ticket for a recurring problem. I got my shop foreman and service manager on my side in the effort, and that kept everything friendly even as I opened a BMWNA case for the problem.

Mine recurred 3 times. Latest update was done about a month ago when the dealer received a new update from Germany to address this issue. So far so good. Perhaps you can head back to the dealer again for the latest patch.

I had this condition after yesterday's service at BMW Palm Springs. Disconnect both cables from battery for 30 minutes, reconnect, power on vehicle in accessory mode, reset the date at the prompt, worked perfectly

My car has faulted again. Almost 60K miles now. I'll reopen my BMWNA case and see what can be done.

I'm at the dealer right now with this problem and they'll be updating the software. I'm still under 50k miles and covered by the warranty so hopefully this problem doesn't come back. I will be looking into Route 66 or Easy Care for an extended warranty.

Went to the dealership yesterday to ask the service manager about this and he suggested that I allow them to update the car to the latest integration level software and see whether that helps. Who am I to say "no" to an offer like that? Appointment is for 12/21.

Can u please tell me what's meant by coding the KOMPI? ,and if you please tell me the steps as well ,it will be greatly appreciated ,because i got this message for the 1st time this friday 18/12/2015 and i didn't know what to do ,I've also noticed that my mobile disconnects and reconnects at irregular intervals since then and the MP3s stop playing and resumes again after the restart ,my car is 523i 2011...Thank you.

I am having the same exact problem. Service isn't due until 11/2018 and it just popped up Service Due 01/2000 and won't let me reset it. Is software update at the dealership the only true option at this point?

In the same boat but it’s been on for some time no that’s I don’t notice it anymore. Sounds like this may become a by request of customer SB. Going to hold of on paying the dealership for the update until then. Fingers crossed.
