Anyone running Verde Axis wheels

I'm pretty sure I'm going to buy a set of Verde Axis wheels for my warm weather set up.
They look great on the Merc SL, but it would be great to see them on a F10.

A couple of questions first.
I'm going with a square set up to my things easier for me since I have a X-drive.
Wheels are 20 x 9 (5x120mm)

Offset 35 millimeters
Bore :74.10 millimeters

Any problems with that?
Does that mean that I need to buy 74.1mm OD to 72.6mm ID hub rings?

Yes.....I am a wheel idiot.

Those look sweet, you should run a slightly bigger tire to help protect the wheel, doubt it'll hold up well with low profile tires considering they're low quality and the amazing roads we have here in NYC.

Because they're under $250 per wheel for a 20" rim. Low quality rim either from China or Taiwan. I'm not the guy to knock on reps/cheap rims because when they do crack and bend, they're only $250 to replace. Just gotta be real to yourself and not have such high expectations, and not get pissed or upset when (not if) they end up getting pac-man'd

I hear ya.

After browsing the forums, and finding many wheels I liked, I came to the following conclusions:

HRE's and MORR wheels are out of my price range.
(GTmassive has a set of used MORR's in the classifieds, which I love, but I really wanted to stick to a non staggered set. Even though others have proven staggered wheels with appropriate tires are fine for X-Drive cars, I feel better owning a square set of wheels.)

On the top of my list were OEM M5 wheels, which aren't easy to come by, and I was getting tired of browsing the classifieds. After seeing so many cars on the forums and in Brooklyn with M5/M5 rep wheels, I started to lose my love for the wheels.

Next up on my list were Forgestar F14's. I've always loved these wheels, even before owning a F10. I was pretty set on buying a set until someone show me various links to cracked forgestar wheels. The fact that they are rotary forged was my main reason for paying more for them, as opposed to VMR or Avante Garde wheels.
I do realize that there are ton's of guys here to run Forgestar's without issues, so the fact that there are more reports of cracked Forgestar's may be because there are so many more Forgestar owners. Even if 0.5% of Forgestar wheels have cracked, that leaves a lot of angry owners.

Next, I considered VMR V710 wheels, which were about $400 less, and look very similar to the Forgestars. Love the gunmetal version, but I've seen a lot of car's on here with similar looking wheels, so I decided I wanted something a little different.

Finally, I ran across the Verde wheels, which I instantly loved. Maybe the Merc SL make's the wheels look good, but I guess I will see when mine arrive. Give's an aftermarket look, but not to an extreme.

If you don't live in NYC, you don't know what Igor is referring to when he mentions our crappy roads. Some put holes can shatter your teeth.

Tires:

Continental ExtremeContact DWS A/S tires seemed to a very choice, so that's what I chose.
I originally was going to go with 255/35/20 tires, but later decided to go with 265/35/20.
1. Wider tires have a higher load rating, which should make my bumps/potholes a bit more bearable
2. Harder to curb your rim because I always park as close to the sidewalk as I can. Twice! a family member's car was scratched, while parked, by a truck squeezing itself down a small street.
3. Give the wheel better protection.

I don't really know what to expect from these wheels, but there are guys on e90 post who run Verde wheels. Most experiences seem ok.
I don't expect a wheel that definitely won't crack. I previously had a Mercedes CLK350 and the OEM wheels cracked.
Even seen forged wheels crack.
Hopefully these wheels will work out for me. Hope they don't "Pac-man."
If they do, I'll let you all know.

So @Twelve535i how are the wheels holding after almost 6 months of NYC roads ?
Looking to maybe purchase a set of 20" for my car.
Since we have the same road ... hum ... quality, your experience will give me an idea of what to expect.

and, after all this time, what can you say about these wheels? Have they hold up? Do they still run fine?
I am considering them (in matter graphite, staggered setup 20") for my X3 (2014 Xdrive28i)

they are ok wheels ... dirt cheap, one of my rears usually has a hard time balancing. I get some slight vibrations here and there at high speed. Personally I also don't like the design where the spokes are outside of the lip, its not bad and doesn't bother me but I like it better when it goes into the lip.

But I cant argue when the set brand new cost me like 875$ shipped ....

Do i recommend them ? eh sure up to you..

heres some pics
