Considered trying yourself?. Very rewarding.

Plenty or articles about it on the world wide thingamyjig.

Get a cable. (I ordered mine, can't recall where from now though) as I didn't have the tools or know how to build my own.
Get hold of the software and get a laptop. I've run ESYS on windows 7 and recently upgraded to Windows 10 and it work there as well.

Make sure you follow the documentation out there carefully, if in doubt stop and re read and ask questions if need be.

Plenty of people on these forums who have done it.

You can also update your satnav as well, similar articles .
