What happened to roof spoilers

I remember for E60, matching roof and rear spoilers was the way to go, but now people seem to have lost interest in the roof spoiler... Although different brands are still coming out with them, we just don't seem them on cars anymore these days. Anyone have a theory or can explain why you're no longer looking for these on your F10s?

For me, it's just too busy in the rear to have it. An OEM M5 one would look okay.

When a design isn't executed right, something like a roof spoiler is necessary, and unfortunately always clumsy looking. I had one on my 2011 E Class and I grew to like it, but the rear of that car is so boring, it needed different things.

Now, a car like the F10 is already designed to look aggressive and concise back there without any help. The rear window is already very small and at a steeper slope, so adding anything is just messing and haphazardly cluttering up a beautiful design. It's just not necessary. Though like with any Sedan, it still benefits from a boot spoiler.

No OEM roof spoilers, and the only one that looks okat for the F10 is the one from 3D Design that Lascter's got.
