Battery tender connection: trunk or remote posts?
For those of you that are using a battery tender, did you connect the lead directly to the battery in the trunk or to the remote posts under the hood?

Where is the negative post under the hood? Or are you just grounding it to the chassis. I couldnt see a spot where there wasnt any paint in order to place the negative terminal.

A battery tender will maintain the charge of a battery that sits for extended periods of time. For example, my 550i only gets driven a few times a month and will stay garaged during the winter months.

what about the BMW battery tender that they sell that uses the cigarette charger? Why not that one? Used it on my e92 M3 and it worked great.
