hey guys, so i recently purchased the JB4 Stage 2 for my 2014 535Xi, i am new to the bimmer scene coming out of imports so im having a tough time getting the install directions down right. can anyone provide a video of thorough instructions on how to install this unit with any issues, i do not want any trouble and every single install video i found is only for the F30.

Also i wanted to know do i have to update the firmware right after i install it? and do i have to load maps or anything else needs to be done once its installed prior to test driving.

Well if you want to install it fast, why dont you go to the shop to install that and watch them how to install it carefully. So you can plug it off if you go to dealer.

Yeah that's pretty much the conclusion I came to I just do t really know where to go I usually install everything myself. Just wanna make sure I get the info that I need first, like is there a firmware update? Do I have to install any maps or update any maps.

Never hurts to ask for help from someone who knows better than me.

I don't know why you guys take the jb when you go for service. I leave it all the time for the passed 5 years. That has nothing to do with your service.

They take it off due to the fact most dealerships are in the business of making money. That's all they care about bottom line. When you end up having any stupid issue with your car they are going to find a reason not to cover under warranty. They see tune and now blame something not related to tune on tune and they get away with it. Be smart and don't give them a reason not to fix things on there dime.

So how did it go, I am thinking about pulling the trigger myself? I talked with a good friend who is a BMW tech and stated it was absolutely safe and fun, just keep it in a low map to avoid issues. (That's all I needed to hear) I normally do my own installs, but i'm just looking at it, like I rather just pay someone and watch.

Went very well, I absolutely love the feel of it. It was well worth the money difference is day and night honestly...
