Pulled the trigger for a 2-door

After long struggling, today putted the hammer down and paid deposite on this:
http://cc.porsche.com/icc_euro/ccCal...x1024&vLevel=5
991C2S, with options:Sport Exhaust, PDCC incl. PASM sports chassis, PDLS, Sport Chrono Package, Paddle Shift Steering wheel, Front & Rear Parking Sensor, No cost options: PDK, smoking Package.
Dunno if those are enough, as not want to regret after taking it at July?
Any input are welcome and thanks in advance
Still will keep beloved 535i as DD

Tested new boxster, was told the soonest delivery will be Oct.
If don't mind to wait, boxster S as well as cayman S are the best buy IMO. Same Engine ( down tuned negligent 35/25HPs) and similar performance(only +0.1/0.2 second for 0-62, accordingly to Caranddriver's test-result) to Carrera 3.4. MR design, great chassis, similar overall size and very fun to drive, the list goes on....All that cost no more than 60% of the same equiped base Carrera.

To make interior pops, either add deviated stitching throughout or go with black/beige that came with free deviated stitching on dashboard and upper panels.
Light design package is a must if you like your ambient lighting on bmw.
Center tunnel and armrest with decorative stitching to complete the interior ambient.
Carbon fiber panels goes well with beige.
Grey top tint for windshield looks good as well.
Bose sound system at minimum.
I would also prefer center rpm tacho in black instead of default silver (free cost option)

Performance, nice specs on pdcc + spasm.
TPM is a must for this car, can remind you to inflate more in case you are in comfort tire pressure when going above certain speed limits.
I would seriously consider adding X51 power kit to really feels the benefit of the 'S' torque curve.
PCCB would complete the look and brake dustless beside all the benefits of unsprung weight at its closest to axle position.

Exterior, cs wheels in black or platinum goes well with blue.
Painted headlamp washer in body color is a must for dark color exterior.
Front sport classic appron doesn't look bad either.

At the end, all of the above combined may not justified purchasing an S anymore . 9k rpm pdk shift for the upcoming GT3 starting to look interesting , but then there is a turbo launches shortly after .

If you don't mine me asking, at your current configuration, how much does it cost in Hongkong?
I ditched my 2010 PTT for a loaded 3.4L myself and call it a day .

Well said and good adv
I will check my sales guy again for those options again
Thanks bro.
True, at my current opt-list, if add X51, the price will be more than a up coming GT3.
My bill will be at HK$2,239000 or US$287,000.

Yes, with the way Porsche option offerings, a line need to be drawn somewhere or it doesn't make anymore sense.
With your current specs, worth the bill in my opinion .

Checked that the 2 tone blk/beige is not free opt, but cost $12255
So I might keep that solid, thanks anyway

The two tone leather interior is not free, but the price of this option comes with deviating stiching at no additional cost. You may want to compare how much the stiching cost (dashboard, doors upper panel, and upper rear panels) if added seperatly to justify the cost different for ordering a two tone.

Do note, lighter dash = lots of reflection on the windshield.

Just chauffeured my friend to pick up his Panny GTS today. Man! The Porsche salesperson is just so full of it! Seeing I drive a BMW in and he trash talks about BMW throughout I was there......

But he made an ass out of himself in front of my friend saying "Look, your car got a 4.8L V8 with 430hp. King of the world (天下無敵)" I am pretty sure he doesn't know what a 650i GranCoupe is And my friend told me he feels the GTS is a bit lacking in power due to lack of turbo..... Yes, he test drove my car before taking delivery of the GTS.....

And keep on saying things like "We don't do things like BMWs....." Ultimate cockiness And all the while refusing to do or that for my friend

Too much garbage for me to handle in a day

Two very nice cars I don't know which I would choose.
Salesmen are very pityful, you start to feel sorry for them after a while - last time I saw a sales at the parrellel bmw parts store (deutschland, tkw) buying a bunch of keyholders, his chest was out and acting like a boss, I thought he was .. until he went outside and came back in 4 inches shorter, 30lbs heavier and 10years older when he saw my car parked outside, must have thought I was a "garage-boy" in my messy clothes..

But I made fun at the Porsche salesman He gloated that there was and old doctor there who has 5 porsches including 911 Turbo S. And the salesman goes on to say that the doctor still looked great (short slim full of great hair....) at age 70+. I turned over to my friend and said.....

"See! What did I tell you! Porsche are for old people....."

What a joke.
I like BMW sale they dont talk about other cars how good or bad they are.
It is a bad move to talk about other car makers and never compare other car to there own.

Well To be fair, I had met a BMW salesperson similar to this idiot at Porsche as well. Worse, I did buy my first F10 550i from him

Actually, I appreciate car sales who are knowledgeable about the different cars, appreciate the different cars, and acknowledges that there are cars for different demographics.....

My present BMW salesperson never put down other brands but will go out of her way to earn my business. That's why I had 4 sales with her for the past 3 years.......

Or "Porsche are for dicks!" j/k ...
No.. if Panamera GTS is 'Gwan Yu' then say GC 650i is 'Lui Bo'

Once i met a 'knowledgeable' bmw sales, had long hair and kept on wanting to blab about the extended seats - if it was me i would pick this guy, but my brother chose the guy ended up with, needless to say i find impossible to get along with (but my brother would life) i end up waiting for him 30mins while he driving around different showrooms saying he though that was what i said, i stare him down like i want to strangle him in the elevator, he is sweating and a it turn into a mess.. not a pleasant experience
