For all the people that wanted to run the vacuum to the m5 muffler's flap and do not want to run the vacuum from the engine... this is what I did..
Purchased the following: 1. Dorman mechanical vacuum pump 2. APDTY 112687 Wiring Wire Harness Pigtail Connector 3. 12v wireless remote 4. E60 electric exhaust vacuum controller 5. Fuse tap Thanks to TXOID for helping me and answering all the questions I had. here is a video turning the vacuum pump on it will stay open and once you turn it off it will close. I will run all the vacuum hoses tomorrow. if anyone has questions feel free to ask. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B_...mFBVWZ3UGFfRkk Last edited by ey2001; 09-29-2017 at 10:58 AM.. |

Do you happen to have a pic of the set up? I was hoping to finally start this project this weekend.
Then hopefully I can try out the catless (gutted) OEM downpipe I got!

Okay thanks. Saw that on the corvette site. I'm stuck on the wireless controller portion. How is that wired up? There are a bunch of wiring configurations. Not sure where those are supposed to connect.
Also, the solenoid in the pic you sent has two black wires coming out which go out of sight, off the pic. Are those just positive & negatives wires which come back in view, connecting via the short white wires? Appreciate the support!
