Help me choose a grill for my Alpine White 550
I purchased the IND grill black on black and I really cant live with it in real life.
It just makes the car look too dull. I like the look on the darker color F10s but with alpine white I really cant do it. Which look should I go with ? 1) Chrome/Black M5 style 2) Black/Chrome 3) chrome / chrome |

I guess we have more black detailing on our cars to tie in the black grille. Mine has gloss black wheels, wing mirrors and boot lid spoiler as well as a black carbon wrap on the roof.
I still prefer the black on black on the OP's car, however if I had to choose it would be chrome surround and black slats

I went through this on mine and decided that BMW got it right with the stock grills. The surrounds and faces of the slats are chrome which matches the silver in the headlight assembly as well as the wheels, and the black sides of the slats matches the lower bumper inserts. It looks clean and symmetrical.
If you really feel you must change the grills then go with the black surround with chrome slats. |

The black looks classy, and it adds a nice contrast to the rest of the car; to someone who doesn't know, it looks like the car came that way. And that's the way it should look. Mixing chrome and black cheapens the look of your car, it makes it look like a 16 year old's Honda civic (one of these fast and furious types). Just my personal opinion.

I like the hi-gloss black on black, if you want the front end to pop more do what I did and have the lower mesh also painted hi-gloss black. Can't really tell in the pic but trust me it looks amazing! I also had the paint shop paint the rear diffuser in hi-gloss black.

My vote is for the M5 grille. The black is a nice contrast and the chrome ties in the chrome trim bits on the car without being overpowering. The stock 550 grilles (chrome & silver) are just all wrong.
