Painted non-msport lower front bumper

Got tired of the "big mouth" blacked out look. Let me know what you think, don't worry, I am secure enough to handle it. Looks good going down the road, had the GF do a drive by. Wanted it to be a little brighter than factory color. Can always change it to something else. Plan on 3d rep lip and coilovers next summer DIY on my vacation. Damn you work for getting in the way.

Wait...what color is it? Need some closeup pictures. I honestly think it's out of place because u have the blacked out grills and the dark wheels.

Doesn't it clash with the black kidney grills?

After looking at it for about a week ordered some color match spray, just a little too bright right now. Top pic is the all blk (old pic), couldn't take it anymore so had to do something, the color match should look better than the silver metallic that's on there now. All temp till the summer rolls around. Lsturbo did his right so will probably go that route just all space grey or do the msport rep bumper like some of the other guys have done.

That color grill was my first choice. Ordered the same lip you have but in the PU so will black out those grill pieces before installing the new lip. Might get that universal splitter also, hoping it will look as good as yours does.

I would try a different splitter since I'll probably end up changing mine. I might go with the canards if I can't find a full splitter. Either way, your car will look sweet!

Repainted lower grill, added 3d rep lip

Ok all finished. First time doing anything like this and I'm happy how it turned out. Took about 8 hours start to finish. Fitment isn't 100% but I think its because the bumper was curbed a few times before I bought the car. It's a 2011. This lip was designed to fit a new bumper. I ended up at about 425 for the lip, paint, and everything else needed to prep and mount it. Anyways anything is better than the non M standard bumper. Wasn't that big a deal at purchase but as time went by...arrrrrrgggg.

Thanks. Used your info for mounting placement of screws and tape. Put a second screw about 2 inches under the top one and jacked up the car and put one straight up from the bottom into the part that wraps under each side at the wheelwell. Don't forget me when you post pics of that new steering wheel, I'm thinking it will be bad ass.

I couldn't put another screw underneath because of the splitter. Definitely will post some pictures of the steering wheel! Order will be done Friday! Finally...Finally decided black leather top, bottom and middle...black perforated sides...cinnamon stripe at 12 o'clock and cinnamon stitching!
