Guru - this firm are local to Basingstoke - I bought a wheel from a chap who bought and sold full wheel sets on Ebay a year or two back - he used this firm a lot - and the wheel I obtained was pristine .... back then they were £65 upwards per wheel, but no doubt more now ...

Ok still not washed the car as the weather has been terrible here... However I had to go back to the wheel refurbishing company to get the tyres re-balanced as I had some vibration at motorway speeds.
I took a picture of their display which shows all the various finishes all together, black chrome is on the second row from the bottom on the far right. If you zoom in you should see the name cards on each wheel...

The service indicator dropped on me the other day from 11,000 miles till next service to 2,400 miles. . After a bit of googling turns out that individual items trigger the service, so after a quick check on the vehicle turns out that surprisingly its the rear pads that are worn out. (Down to approx 3mm).
Not sure if this is a BMW thing that the rear pads wear quicker than the front? Or just mine?:roll eyes: Anyway booked in an Independent BMW garage next week for change. Usually this is something that i would do myself but as the 5 series has a push button hand brake it wasn't something i was willing to tackle. Add to that i don't know how to change the service countdown. |
