Flat Tire + Mobility Kit Question
What’s the best way to fix a non-runflat flat tire with the BMW mobility kit?
Remove the wheel from the car to find the area needing to be fixed? Any easy way to determine same with the wheel on the car? Listen for air escaping? Just trying to figure out how I’d manage a flat with non-runflats with no spare… |

I went a different route, but here was my solution. Takes up a fair amount of space in my trunk, but my trunk is completely empty 99% of the time anyway.

Since the mobility kit doesn't include a jack or a lug wrench, and neither does the car itself, I don't see folks taking the wheel off to fix a flat that way. The kits I've seen include puncture-sealing slime rather than plugs. So you don't really need to find where the air's coming out -- just fill the tire with the slime, rotate wheel to spread it around, then inflate.
